I know many wonder, how did I go from working with women and helping them detox, to exclusively working with Autism Mamas and creating online courses? ⁣

You bet!!! Tasty and delicious, when you get tired of eggs, leftovers, and "no oatmeal" breakfast, this is a nice treat. Now, mine isn't completely Paleo. I may have added natural peanut butter 🙄. Nonetheless, delicious. Any nut butter would do. The fats from the avocado and nut butter make it very filling,and of course keto.

Let's take a closer look at each.⁣
⁣
1️⃣ Heavy weightlifting makes women "bulky"⁣
⁣
Take an athletic woman with an enviable body. You know, toned legs, curvy butt, tight arms, and flat stomach. Now add 15 pounds of fat to her frame, and you might be surprised how “blocky” she looks.⁣
⁣
This is because fat accumulates inside and on top of muscle, and the more fat and muscle you have, the larger your body looks. ⁣
⁣
Reduce your body fat levels, however, and everything changes. The muscle you’ve built is able to shine.⁣
⁣
2️⃣You can "tone," "shape," and "sculpt" your muscles⁣
⁣
This sounds nice but is hogwash, and so is the advice generally given to achieve it:⁣
⁣
A lot of high-repetition, low-weight resistance training.⁣
⁣
Ironically, if you want a "toned" and "defined" body as quickly as possible, you want to do the opposite—a lot of lower-repetition (4 to 12), higher-weight (70%+ of 1RM) resistance training.⁣
⁣
3️⃣You must use bands, machines, and other contraptions⁣
⁣
Instead of training with big rubber bands, doing supersets with every machine in the gym, or playing around with the Bosu ball, you need to pickup a barbell or pair of dumbbells.⁣
⁣
Bottom line: free weights give you the most muscle-building bang for your buck.⁣
⁣
4️⃣You don't need to eat a lot of protein⁣
⁣
As muscle tissue is made mostly of protein, it’s no surprise that studies have shown that a high-protein diet is better for gaining muscle and strength than a low-protein one.⁣
⁣
And yes, that applies equally to women as it does men.⁣
⁣
As for how much protein you need to eat, shoot for 0.8 to 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight per day, or around 30 to 40% of total daily calories if you're overweight and not in the mood to eat 200+ grams of protein per day.⁣
⁣
5️⃣You have to do a lot of cardio⁣
⁣
If you want to gain muscle and strength as quickly as possible, you want to limit your cardio.⁣
⁣
This is because cardio can interfere with strength and muscle gain by making you more fatigued and disrupting cell signaling related to muscle growth.⁣
⁣

There’s no reason to be skinny fat. ⁣⠀
⁣⠀
It’s not a genetic curse or mysterious affliction. It has very specific causes and a very specific solution.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
Skinny fat describes a condition in which someone is a relatively normal weight, but has very little muscle and too much body fat.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
The less muscle you have, the leaner you’re going to have to be to not look skinny fat. And if you have very little muscle, you don’t have much of a choice: you can either look skinny fat or frail and starved.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
Fortunately, the road out is just as straightforward: you need to add muscle and reduce your body fat percentage.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
To do that, you more or less do the opposite of the 3 main mistakes that cause skinny fatness:⁣⠀
⁣⠀
🔹Severely restricting calories.⁣⠀
🔹Doing large amounts of cardio.⁣⠀
🔹Doing little or no resistance training.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
That means that to beat skinny fatness, you should . . . ⁣⠀
⁣⠀
1️⃣Do a lot of heavy compound weightlifting.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
Although you have to both lose fat and gain muscle to put your skinny fat days behind you, when you look at the bigger picture, gaining muscle is more important. ⁣⠀
⁣⠀
And to do that as quickly as possible, focus on getting stronger on key exercises like the squat, deadlift, bench press, and military press. ⁣⠀
⁣⠀
2️⃣Be stingy with your cardio.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
After working with thousands of people, here’s what I’ve found seems to be the “sweet spot” for maximizing fat loss and minimizing muscle loss:⁣⠀
⁣⠀
🔹No more than 20 to 30 minutes per cardio session.⁣⠀
🔹No more than 1.5 to 2.5 hours of cardio per week (unless it's walking, which you can do much more of without issue).⁣⠀
⁣⠀
3️⃣Learn how to diet properly.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
Don't starve yourself when you want to lose fat. ⁣⠀
⁣⠀
Instead, use a moderate (20%ish) calorie deficit and eat plenty of protein, and don't remain in a deficit for too long without a refeed or diet break (one refeed per week or two and one break per 4 to 8 weeks seems to work best for most people).⁣⠀
⁣⠀
Then, when you're done cutting, don't be afraid to raise your calories back to a maintenance level (don't continue to remain in a deficit, even if slight).⁣⠀
