I had such an inspiring day today with amazing talks, sharing ideas and meeting amazing people that I wanted to enjoy this feeling in thankful stillness tonight and recap this day in meditation. 
BUT when I read the honest and ooen post from @northernstar_yoga (and we exchanged about the topic bilateral) I thought and we decided to share this topic - wich was also one of the things I had an inspiring talk about this day in another context: 
its about leaving the exhaustion mode, leaving the survival mode behind and come back to the mode of life, joy and happiness. 
We all have to master our tasks but many feel overwhelmed and some also close to break down. The topic it too big and the reasons too many to be treated well enough here, and I don’t want to bullshit around. 
But one aspect is valuable for all of us: We need to overcome the lie of multitasking. We simply can’t. Our brain is designed for sequencing, doing one thing at a time. What we call multitasking is in fact jumping from one sequence to the next. Well, we can do that for a certain period of time, but the longer the period, the deeper the exhaustion. And finally we endanger our mental and physical health. Recognize the first signs and take them serious. Hit the brake and take your time to do .... nothing. Exactly!! We need to actively do nothing but breathe. Take e.g. a minute each hour and a 10 minutes plus break per day for meditation/breathing. 
It will not only prevent your health but fill you with even more energy for the rest of the day. 
Why run a marathon if we can cut it down to a series of sprints and recovery. So doing nothing from time to time is not being lazy! It’s important to give our best and as such valuable for us, our family, our job, team, boss and company. No excuses and  no bad conscience please.

THE NEGATIVE 🤸🏽‍♂️🔥😅 Day 6 #activateyourhandstand we work the negative which means your lower out of handstand. Working your negative will build strength and control and also prep you for press-up handstand. I think of the negative as a reverse press-up. If you’re new to the negative it requires a lot of strength and focus so don’t spend all your energy on getting into handstand and holding because you’ll tire out before coming down. Instead create time for a negative practice 3-5 rounds where that’s all your going to focus on. Use a wall, quickly get into handstand and spend your energy on your negative like I show in the video👉🏼.
Alignment tips for your negative:
🤸🏽‍♂️ use your mind to tell your body to slow down as you lower
🤸🏽‍♂️lean forward, your shoulders pass your wrists
🤸🏽‍♂️ hollow body
🤸🏽‍♂️ shoulders protract (move away from spine)
🤸🏽‍♂️ bend your knees if your hips and hamstrings are tight

STRADDLE 🤸🏽‍♂️ Day 5 #activateyourhandstand This is a great handstand to learn how to distribute weight across your hips and build stamina upside down. It also leads to other handstand transitions. Try to keep your hips back when holding your straddle so the legs are parallel to the floor rather than in as star type shape. Similar to your tuck there’s a big shift of the pelvis that happens as the hips stack over and even behind your shoulders while balancing.

TUCK 🔥 Day 4 #activateyourhandstand it’s about to get hot in here😅 if there’s one handstand you can do to build a ton of core strength and compression tuck is the one🙌 Today we also move AWAY from kicking into handstand and INTO jumping into handstand. Jumping will bring power and control to your handstand. 
If you’re newer to tuck the hard part is getting your hips to move from the posterior or tucked position when your thighs are into your belly, up into an anterior position when your thighs are parallel to the ground. I can remember after having my second kid having to relearn tuck jump and it took me weeks of jumping before my hips finally went over that threshold. But it was all those jumps that made me strong, so if you don’t get up yet don’t be discouraged. Every jump makes you stronger💪

3 tuck jumps thighs to chest no hold
3 tuck jumps into straight leg wall balance come down slowly into tuck
3 tuck holds (wall or no wall if you can) stay in a tucked posterior position

A little spinning combo incorporating these week's new tutorial up on my YouTube channel.  I don't know about most of you but there never seems to be enough training time to work on ALL the things I want to.  I like to make a training list or at least have a plan before I go into training time to make my time more efficient...otherwise I end up spending most of my "training" time scrolling thru Instagram looking for something to try that looks cool but doesn't require to much effort, LOL.  Anyone else have this problem!  If I only have a short amount of time, as in less than an hour, I like to designate my training time to conditioning. Making sure that I evenly work both sides, focusing on cleaning up my lines and improving my endurance.  Other times, if I have a little more leeway in my time allotment, I like so bookmark or save one move or transition and then play around with as many variations of combos incorporating that move or transition both on spin and static pole.  How do you structure your training time?

Of course there are also things about January that I dislike (why else the need of making a list of positives), but there is beauty in every season and every day, if we choose to look for it 🙏🏼. .

One of my fave pigeon variations 💖! .

I feel like I need a little reminder of what is great about January. So for me the list looks like this. I love:
.

1 - that it's not tourist season, which means, it's not crowded here and I can go anywhere to take photos, without worrying too much about "audience" 🙈😅.
2 - deserted beaches.
3 - that because of short days, you can see both the sunrise and the sunset ☀️.
4 - the quiet.
5 - that beach bars are closed and that gives more photo venues for me 🙏🏼😂.
6 - that I can always find a parking space.
7 - that my husband is more home from work (off season) ❤️.
8 - that when the sun is out, I can drive with the top off without being too hot 🤩.
9 - to cover up in cozy sweaters and blankets, with a cup of hot tea and a good book ☕️, on rainy days.
10 - that we start learning a new ballet series, which is the part I love the most about ballet 💃. .
